Join us on November 21st as we welcome back Sarah Catherine Gromek to share her delightful secrets with us! The workshop will begin at 10 AM and run until 3:00pm. We will have a one hour lunch break.

Learn how to transform soft slabs of clay into ornaments and jewelry that capture the
look of stitched leather. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to use drop molds
and the pillow technique to create soft three dimensional forms inspired by “stuffed”
sewn items.
Students will explore methods for adding stamped texture, folded edges, stitched
details, and hardware-inspired accents while creating a collection of unique ornaments
and wearable ceramic jewelry. The workshop also includes an introduction to
incorporating high-temperature wire into ceramic pieces and assembling finished
jewelry after firing. These versatile techniques can be adapted to a wide variety of
decorative and wearable projects, making this workshop perfect for artists looking to
expand their handbuilding skills.
Suitable for beginner through intermediate ceramic artists.
